On Saturday, October 26th, our Supper Club took over the cozy Westmorelands coffee shop, transforming it into the perfect escape from the autumn chill. Our little pop-up was packed with friends, food lovers, and some serious Octoberfest vibes, all wrapped up in the warm glow of this boutique space.
Patrick (my husband and our official "Supper Club Front of House") welcomed everyone with his easy charm, while Leda jumped behind the bar to whip up espresso martinis on demand. In the kitchen, we had a secret weapon: Patrick’s mum, Ute. She didn’t just bring her plating skills; she brought her German Octoberfest spirit, lending an extra festive touch to the night. There might have been some sampling happening behind the scenes, but hey—it’s all part of the experience, right?
The Menu: Cozy Classics with an Octoberfest Twist
The dish of the night? A crispy tofu schnitzel that won over even the most skeptical meat lovers. Paired with a refreshing fennel apple slaw and a dreamy caper sage butter sauce, it was an instant hit. We’re pretty sure there were more than a few requests for seconds!
And for the grand finale, we rolled out a chocolate roulade that was rich, smooth, and just the right amount of indulgent. The perfect way to close out the night.
Next Up: November Supper Club – More Plates, Double the Puds, More Fun!
With October’s success, we’re already plotting the November Supper Club! Think six small, inventive plates to keep the flavor journey going, and yes, TWO cake options for dessert.
If October was any sign, these spots are going to fill up fast, so book soon! Can’t wait to do it all over again with a brand-new menu and a room full of food lovers.
See you there!
