September 24 Supper Club Recap: Last Saturday’s Plant-Based Feast (A Feast to Remember!)

Last Saturday night was epic at our latest plant-based supper club. If you were there, you know what I’m talking about—if not, here’s your recap so you can kick yourself for missing it!
As always, it was a true team effort. My husband manned the front of house like the pro he is, ensuring everyone was seated, comfortable, and, most importantly, fed. Leda, the lovely owner of Westmoreland (our venue for the evening), made sure the drinks flowed and spirits stayed high. Seriously, she could keep up with a table of thirsty sailors! And my mum? Total superhero status as always—she worked behind the scenes to help pull everything together. Honestly, I don’t know what we'd do without her.
Now, let’s talk about the food. We pulled off a tasting menu packed with flavor—so many dishes that by the end of it, we felt like we had run a marathon of plant-based delights. Among the favorites? Our heart of palm calamari—no one saw that coming! Even the most die-hard seafood lovers couldn’t get enough. And the best part? We had a fantastic mix of new faces joining us and a few familiar ones returning for another go.
All of this went down at the beautiful Westmoreland, where the vibe was nothing short of perfect. We’ll be back there on October 26th for our next supper club, and this time we’re going Oktoberfest-inspired! Expect some fun twists on German classics, more surprises, and as always, plenty of drinks to say Prost!
